F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked
Questions

How long do appointments last?

The standard length of a therapy session is 50-55 minutes.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, a 24 hour notice of cancellation or reschedule is required. A $60 late cancellation/no show fee will be assessed for appointments not cancelled with a 24 hour notice, or for no show appointments.

Do you prescribe medication?

No, we are not medical doctors. Medication may be helpful and a compliment to therapy in some situations, however many clients are able to progress well in therapy without medication. If you are interested in being evaluated for psychiatric medication, we recommend starting with your primary care physician or contacting a psychiatrist. If you are already taking medication, we are happy to coordinate care with your doctor.

Are you able to provide therapy services for individuals outside the state of Florida?

Due to state licensing laws, we can provide therapy to individuals residing/located in Florida. One of our providers is also licensed in Virginia and can provide telehealth services to individuals residing in or visiting Virginia.

Are there specific services that you don't provide?

We do not conduct child custody evaluations nor do we provide custody recommendations. We also do not provide treatment for eating disorders, substance abuse/dependency, or sexual offenders.  We do not provide couples therapy.  If we are unable to provide you with services, we are more than happy to try to connect you with a provider who may be able to meet your identified needs
